This planning authority could not demonstrate a 5 year housing supply and were amenable to a development on this partially brownfield site even though it were deemed to be in the countryside and outside of the settlement. The major objections came from immediate neighbours however through sympathetic design and layout CHH were able to satisfy all the necessary policy and achieve planning for 11 new homes. In addition, this number enabled the scheme to be exempt from contribution towards affordable homes and increased the value to the landowner.
